This was my second time going there is so much better than the first! I don't know if they got a new shaft, if my first time was his going to bed night. Loved it this time.
Tim and Max upstairs at the bar were amazing!!!! Seriously. They made my family’s Christmas Eve amazing. We were upset at first because our reservation was not made properly but these guys made everything worth while!!! So happy and would recommend Harry Brownes for sure.
This place was the worst. We stopped in to try and get a bite to eat and a drink tonight - the restaurant was very busy bc it was Midnight Madness in town - this is understandable - so we walked upstairs to the bar area. We were happy to see two open seats at the bar and sat down. We literally waited 20 minutes for either of the two bartenders to wait on us - and mind you this is not a huge bar (maybe 15 seats) - but really the issue was the the whole time we were waiting for someone to serve us all we saw was the back of the bartenders' heads. At one point one of them was literally texting on their phone - but most of the time they seemed to be settling out the cash register and ignoring patrons (see attached photo which was all we saw of the bartenders for the 20 minutes we waited). The woman next to us was eating a crab cakes and commented that she had been waiting 30 minutes just for tartar sauce and finally had given up - she told us that the service is routinely bad. At that point we got up and left. We tried to let the hostess know what our experience had been and we waited several minutes at the hostess stand - but she seemed to be MIA as well. Look I know it was a busy night in town... but we had stopped at 2 other places (Galway Bay & Fox's Den) for either drinks or appetizers before we ended up there after shopping to try and eat dinner - and we had great service at both other places despite large crowds. I will never step foot in this place again and if I could give zero stars I would have.
Farm to table cuisine with a classic yet eclectic nuance. Five star colonial elegant atmosphere that is welcoming and relaxed over looking the State House on State Circle in historic downtown Annapolis. Immaculate service with friendly warmth. Consistent quality food, fun lounge f & b too. A must "go-to" spot is Harry Browne's.
It was great a year ago, ok six months ago, and now it's a restaurant coasting on their reputation. Mediocre service and hit-or-miss food (which probably explains the hit-or-miss reviews). I wish I had believed the other review and not thought "it will never happen to me" - it did. Honestly, I'm sad because I LOVED this place before and recommended it to everyone, but I won't be back. If you choose to go, I hope you have a "hit".
