Quirky old place yet comfortable like staying upstairs at your granny's diner. I'd stay again.

I recommend this B&B if you are looking to submerge yourself into the Annapolis culture. Yes this is an quirky old building that reminds me a lot of my great grandmother's house but it's a unique place that will never be forgotten.

Great location, within walking distance to everything. The rooms were clean and the staff were very friendly. My only complaint was that check in was at the diner cash register, and they are always so busy, had to wait almost 30 minutes. It's not a classic B&B, but they don't pretend to be either. It was fine for us as a last minute getaway. And who doesn't need a little wallpaper decor in their life every now and then? :)

In summary, you get inexpensive, centrally located, quaint lodging but don't expect red carpet treatment.

Ok room. A bit overpriced but you cannot beat the location. The hallway definitely smells like diner food but it is surprisingly not too bad in the room. If you want to be close to the action and don't need luxury it would be hard to do better

This is definitely an older bed and breakfast and could use some updates and repairs. That said, it is extremely cute and quaint and unique. If you appreciate a hotel with personality, you can't beat the location and price. The biggest downside is the check in and parking. Parking is not included. You get a voucher for half off when you park in the parking garage, which is directly behind the hotel (so it's close and easy to access your car). But that cost can quickly add up. And check in requires entry into a very tight and crowded restaurant. I walked in and was squashed into the counter, waitresses squeezing past. The cashier didn't even acknowledge me. After 5 minutes she handed me a receipt and said that someone would walk us up to our room. It was a bizarre and frankly rather rude introduction to the hotel. Her behavior can be overlooked because the gentleman who escorted us to our rooms was polite and helpful (but not to the point where any offer was made to assist us with our luggage).

Everyone was very accommodating. The location is ideal and central to all of our destinations that we planned to walk to. The included breakfast at Chick & Ruth's was by far the best I've ever had during a hotel stay. We stayed in room 301 which we were told is the biggest room they have to offer. With a very comfortable king size bed, a couch with a pull out bed and a rollaway bed this easily sleeps 5 guests.
