We went to this park and we had so much fun. We took our dog there we played in the trails we played at the dog park it was just really fun. There’s a big part for my kids playing and kept busy for quite a while and I really suggest you go here because it’s really fun.
$6 per car to come in. Very nice park and trails. Was looking for beach around the area and it says there is one here but it's a doggy beach and no swimming allowed, a little bit disappointed but we found a really nice place to sit and have a little picnic. A really nice park ranger was walking around and stopped by and told us about a hidden path that you can brave in. Turn right(not the path going to the doggy beach) and keep going straight, there's some rocks and just keep trekking across. You can picnic there but no swimming also and can't fish there. Either way, an enjoyable place
Beautiful park and well maintained trails. Though I was sad to see the dog beach closed for so long, I was even happier to see it reopened when I went back this fall.
Park is open dusk to Dawn. Always park rangers driving around maintaining the facilities. If you stay on the paved path, you get roughly ~5.5 miles if you're interested in running it. It's almost all shaded to make running/cycling a little more tolerable on those hot summer days! They have a dog park, as well as a little beach for the dogs to get into the water!
Great park with expansive trails, South River gazebo overlook and rental paddle boats in season, also an outdoor summer concert series. Events thru the year and dog park areas. Children's playgrounds, wedding venue..ice skating in winter. Something for everyone!my original photos..
