The not so good: The traffic patterns could use some work to improve flow as well as pedestrian safety. There is also frequent flooding in the parking lot that restricts traffic and parking even more. Would like to see some work on these issues. Otherwise, the docks are a great place to visit!
Pro tip: It's less than a 15 minute walk from the church circle/courthouse and there are plenty of fast-food and restaurants on your walk down Main Street. Grab a quick lunch and eat it by the docks. It is beautiful. You won't regret it.
Its like a day trip... Must visit. Nice bars and restaurants around the area. Parking could be challenging. Also go to the Naval academy nearby. Amazing. You will get a sense to sincerity and discipline that one needs in his/her life. Salute.
BEAUTIFUL PLACE. Went to visit my son at the Naval Academy and it's beautiful out there in Annapolis. Clean, fresh and lots of trees. HIGHLY RECOMMEND
Dec 2017: free 3 hour holiday parking! Enjoy it while it lasts! During the rest of the year, if I recall correctly, parking is free from 730pm to 10am but costs during the day hours. Check the payment kiosk for specific hours/prices.
Historic Annapolis is a great place to visit, to shop and walk around and try the great restaurants in the area. The city dock area has wonderful shops and a nice area to walk around and see history. The US naval academy is close by and usually open for visitors to view. It's well worth the visit on a sunny fall day.
Very festive with Christmas decorations and lights! Great place to go, lots of Naval Acadamy parents visiting their students. Great places to eat!
I love the atmosphere especially around the holidays! You can see different boats. There's usually some geese or ducks in the water to watch. It's always fun when musicians come out and play their tunes for the public to hear! The park at the end of the dock area provides benches and a view to eat lunch. (You can even see the Bay bridge from here!)
