Absolutely amazing views, would prefer if it were free & didn't close so early. Every trip will cost you $6, unless you want to walk a mile. Other than that it's great.
The lighthouse is at a considerable distance from the point. Bring binoculars if you're interested in a view
Lovely view of the bay and heron, swan and ducks. Enjoyed seeing a small fawn and red fox dash off into the brush. TA quiet escape from a busy world.
Very nice small park with a scenic walk or bike ride in, completely hidden from the public, and because of that, rarely ever that busy. Definitely a nice change from the busy older brother, Quiet Waters Park a few miles away. You can't park inside this park without a pass, plus there's only like 4 or 5 parking spots anyway, unless you are a member and can unlike the gate to drive your car to the very end. It's free to walk or ride your bike in though. There's no gate guard.
Not a great place for those with limited mobility.
Would I do it again? No.
It's a pretty peaceful place, except when other visitors insist on playing (c)rap on their car stereos.
The park, itself, is pretty, with the environment mostly undisturbed, except for the out-of-place concrete dinosaur as you walk toward the water.
Was the visit worth it? Yes.
Well preserved vintage lighthouse of a bygone era. Thanks for keeping it up - something interesting to boat to while out on the Bay!
Entry is by paid permit only, and sometimes, they run out early. I assume permits to fish, which are available, are exrra.
