Today I decided to go to this Safeway because a couple weeks ago when I went I really liked the feel of the store and the produce looked fresh.
I expect to be able to go shopping and not deal with workers that don't like their job or kids. I mean this is a grocery store so there's going to be plenty of children running around from time to time. I used to work for a big grocery chain in Texas and we had to treat all the customers the same, you never know who you're helping. It could be a set up from upper management or a relative of someone that works there, you just never know. Always have a smile and be helpful.
DON'T USE THIS PHARMACY. You will waste your time.
Very disappointed with the check out. There was 2 express lines open and 1 large order checkout line. Plus self check out. I was in line longer then I was on the store. I even went to customer service to see if they can open another line. They said yes but no one came. Giant never has this problem. But I must say the cashier was pleasant to me and my daughter.
Well first off I didn't really get names but I had just walked in through the produce section and started my shopping. As I was looking to get some produce I see and hear a manager walking past me and she was on her cell phone. Who she was talking to was asking her to do something for them in the produce section (which I'm assuming was a co-worker) and when she was talking to that person on her cell phone she sounded upset but also proceeded to tell the person on the other end that the one asking her to do something for was dumb. I thought that was very unprofessional of her. I would not like to work somewhere that a manager calls me dumb to another coworker.
Also this is all in the same day, you have a cart guy by the name of Brian. I do not appreciate him saying stuff indirectly to my child. He was putting returns or left behind products away and when we were in one of the isles he was putting away merchandise he looked at my child while she was just playing and said, "Oh my god" all while making an ugly face at her. Like really, if you don't like your job or not having a good day you need to leave your issues at the door.
Absolutely the worst Pharmacy I have ever been to. It's close to my home so when I do use it, it is only for convenience. Ever time I regret it! They always claim they haven't received the prescription. They say they are out of stock when they do get the prescription. The staff is so far from being compassionate it is infuriating.
this place is the worst - after the person "helping" in self check out couldn't be bothered to move out of the way when I said "excuse me" to get a coke zero because she was chatting with her friend, I needed to cancel my order because my third attempt to buy an item was ALSO leaking, she was on the phone ignoring customers and the guy at customer service said "I have no idea how go do self check out." I then got to wait in line all over again because after traveling all day, I had promised my son this darn creamsicle ice cream so got to wait on line all over again. REALLY AWESOME, HELPFUL STAFF, AND SOLID INVENTORY MANAGEMENT!
I value Safeway as a quality grocery store. However the pharmacy department stinks! The employees including management exhibit very inferior customer relationship skills. I feel they reflect dirogetory attitude toward seniors - a very discriminatory attitude. I feel they need to develop better customer service skills as they act like they are doing you a service - showing a take it or leave it attitude. I think they are hurting business. They show no empathy to problems. As a result of my experience I am exploring another pharmacy.
