Great staff and experience but have to gouge on prices. $200 to walk in the door and the over prescribe for $4 pills when you you don't need them that day and can get them for $.20. Still charged $300 for xrays and $600 for ultrasound and did not deduct the $200 consultation. We all know you buy the equipment and charge per use so they are raping the clients for ten minute uses of the equipment.
Staff gets 5 stars, Dr. bedside manner sucks, yawned a few times while I was discussing my dogs illness.
Everyone communicates well before the first visit, which took over two weeks just to get in for a consult. Decided to treat for one thing before going for a very invasive diagnostic procedure (which felt like it was being pushed on me and was also $2000) on my already weak and sick pup. She was prescribed 3 months of steroids and probiotics. Dr went over GI blood work over the phone but later I realized reading the report not everything was explained the way I understood so I reached out via phone which I had to leave a message since nobody ever answers the phone. I also sent an email to the email address I had been communicating with previously to ensure I could contact the right person, I stated I needed to take care of a balance and I needed the dr to contact me due to the fact that my dog was not eating again and I needed additional information on supplements and medications listed on the report to try to help get her eating again. This was on Tuesday 10/17/17, I got a phone call on Friday 10/20/2017 at 6pm from a receptionist.... simply asking for my credit card information. Not one time since the steroids and probiotics were prescribed did a single person call to check in to see how things were going. And still haven’t heard a word from the doctor in regards to my questions. Luckily my regular vet at Huffard cares deeply for my girl and returned my call IMMEDIATELY on Wednesday morning after I hadn’t heard back from AVIM. And got her in Thursday evening. Unfortunately things had gotten too bad and I had to let my sweet girl go the very next week. This is the type of thing that gives Veterinary medicine a bad name, you get your money and then you just don’t care anymore. I’m not saying returning my call would have saved my girl but when you’re in the field of taking thousands of dollars from pet parents, how about showing a little compassion and checking in/returning calls regarding the questions of treatment. Not just before you take their money....
Not impressed. Prices are outrageous.
Friendly and attentive staff. Took good care of my puppy when I brought him in. Prices obviously higher than at his primary vet.
I have no words to adequately express how incredible Dr. Janet Peterson and her staff in Oncology have been with my dog, Oliver. I am in the healthcare field as well, and have never seen such a professional, thorough and compassionate practice. Annapolis and the surrounding area are extremely lucky to have Dr Peterson and her staff!
I love the staff, not impressed with Dr Gonzales. He gave us15 minutes worth of consultations, never gave my dog an exam. Told me his thoughts. Gave my dog a sonogram and a simple antibiotic-- $750.00
