We have come here several times over the years with veterinary emergencies dire and minor. Care and procedures are similar to a human emergency room. We has been pleased with the care given to all 5 of our dogs. This is even when such care was to allow one of our dogs to pass peacefully when there was not much more that could be done for her.
The AAVEC also runs the veterinary hospital for companion animals that are hospitalized for various reasons. There is FULL 24-hour ON-SITE coverage by veterinarians and vet techs. This has been very important to us.
Attentive and quick. The Vet explained everything she did and gave options. Be warned, emergency get medical help is expensive. This place offered an estimate range based on projected course of treatment. They would not start treatment without a deposit equal to the lowest estimated cost. Not complaining really, but we were not prepared for the cost. On the other hand, looking over the bill from my regular vet for a standard neutering, this was not off- the-charts expensive. Just a shock when a beloved pet is in trouble.
We lost our dear pet that night, but the clinic and Dr. Eisenhower was so wonderful. She stayed past shift past midnight to euthanize our sweet Skitty because she knew we didn't want it to be anyone else who hadn't already been working with us. And she sent us a card. We are so grateful for her kindness and the clinic.
I had to bring my baby jazz here when she scratched open a lump in her chest that would not stop bleeding. The doctors were kind and seemed to really care about the well being of my baby. they operated on her the same day, kept her over night and were very diligent in answering all my questions and ensuring that I knew how to take care of Jazz once she was home.
We are so lucky to have this place so close by!! I have used it for there emergency services and have seen a vet neurologist here. It's truly a one stop shop and you and your pet will receive THE BEST care!
