Nice setting, but expensive....not an "everyday" destination, but more like a "special occasion" type of place
Not a good impression the first time, we almost walked out after our first encounter with the server. The food was good and the location is great. The kids menu is expensive but at least the Mac and cheese was big enough to be shared by 2 little ones, they don't have kid's cups so it was impossible for a 3 years old to lift the glass provided. Might give it another try and we'll definitely sit in a different section.
The view is spectacular and that is exactly what you are paying for. The food is mediocre at best. Although the sides of corn salad and fried green tomatoes were excellent, the crab cakes were not very good, especially considering the area (crab cakes in Maryland without Old Bay). My husband had the rock fish (would you believe Massachusetts rock not Maryland) and he wasn't impressed either.
Lovely meal, beautiful restaurant, gorgeous setting, everyone was super nice and attentive. Have been coming here for years. The food is delicious and the location can’t be beat!
Awesome food and view of the water and naval academy. We always eat in the bar. Less expensive menu and more casual atmosphere. This place can get very crowded on weekends.
