I love travel on the bridge to Eastern Maryland and it is really awesome and beautiful. I have been there before about 4 years ago .
A magnificent bridge, and an iconic symbol of the state of Maryland. It is such a treat to travel on, en route to Delmarva and the beach. It'd be spectacular if they ever build a new one up between the Baltimore area and Kent County – perhaps a cable-stayed bridge, similar to the Sunshine Skyway Bridge on Tampa Bay.

The Chesapeake Bay Bridge is an engineering marvel and a major thoroughfare between the Eastern and Western shores of MD. Unfortunately it's managed by imbeciles. So nine times out of 10, crossing it will be an inconvenience due to incompetence, laziness, or possibly willful intent. I assume after you work at the MVA for four years they move you to bridge Administration.
Very easy to drive on most of the time when it gets to the holiday times of the year you'll wanna get towards it a few hours or so earlyer
There is a toll to the bridge. One way its $13. There are 2 tunnels across the bridge names Chesapeake Channel Tunnel and Thimble Shoal Tunnel. Both are i guess a mile long. Enjoy...!!
Stop by while passing it. Experience the beauty of the bay. There is a restaurant called virginal originals, gift shop and fishing pier. though I was not there at sunset, i am sure it would be beautiful from the pier.
it is considered as one of the 7 engineering wonders of the world when it was built. and no wonder after experiencing this, it showed it is. A Marvelous piece of engineering.
