I recently purchased lower cost insurance for my new car and my experience was great. The agent checked to see if adding a cheap life insurance policy would further reduce my already low car insurance quote. And it did! So I now have cheaper car insurance and a life insurance policy.
Service is terrible and you never see or talk to John. I was a long-time customer but decided to check around for rates. When I learned I was grossly overpaying, I called the office and asked them if they could review my rates....I was told to call back and schedule a meeting with John to discuss. I live an hour away but more importantly is it really necessary to have a sit down to check rates. So, I then moved some of my car insurance to Geico but kept umbrella, some cars, and home insurance at State Farm. Of course my State Farm rates then shot up, I get a form letter telling me they dropped the umbrella and now I get another form letter saying they are going to drop my house unless I "repair and paint or replace home to reduce the chance for water damage or further deterioration and rotting." The only problem with this is I live in a house that is 100% stone. I have had zero communication on any of this from my State Farm agent.
I have been with them for a long time and have never had an issue.
By far one of the worse customer service. An associate made a mistake by taking an additional monthly payment when they had thought the other one didn't. But, they over drafted my account and it took 2 days of precessing and an additional 3 days to transfer money back to my account. Until then, I have absolutely no money for food, gas or Thanksgiving weekend with no compensation. Thanks, what am I gonna do for food? Why would a WIRE transfer take longer than a check? Why does my direct deposit from my employer take less than a day?
Customer service at the Thibodeau agency was outstanding! The office is located in a great location on West street in Annapolis and the office itself was in perfect order. I am very pleased with how cheap my auto and homeowners rates are! I was also quoted a VERY affordable rate for life insurance and plan to buy that in the next week
